About Darry Lou Z

Darry Lou Z has carved his name into showjumping history with victories in the world’s most prestigious arenas under three different riders!

With Beezie Madden, he won numerous 5* Grand Prix including the 2019 $3 million Rolex Grand Prix in Spruce Meadows. In 2021, Darry Lou was sold to Evergate Stables LLC and returned to Spruce Meadows to win the CSIO5* 1.55m CANA Cup with Nayel Nassar, who had great success with Darry Lou before he, in 2022, moved to Harrie Smolders, continuing to excel with top-ten finishes in Aachen and the 5* Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows.

Bred out of the Grand Prix mare Venus, Darry Lou is a full brother of the 1.55 Grand Prix mare Beat Me, dam of F One USA, who performs at the highest level with Lorenzo de Luca. Grand-dam Bollworm’s Burggravin won the 1998 Amsterdam World Cup Grand Prix and was a finalist in the 1999 Gothenburg World Cup.

Zangersheide is thrilled to feature this iconic stallion in the catalogue! Not only a legend, but also a great opportunity for the breeders.
