Sir Oldenburg is the son of Sion. This black stallion’s mother was the daughter of none other than Contender. Having Contender on the dam line, it is no wonder Sir Oldenburg scored not only a 7.9 for dressage but also a 7.74 for showjumping at his 30-day stallion performance test in 2001.
Her smaller size and high percentage blood makes her a wonderful cross with ponies and substantial stallions. In fact, in 2021 she produced a lovely filly by the Section D Welsh Cob dressage stallion, Taraco Mourinho. This combo absolutely knocked our socks off!
